Good deal for him. I'd love to see him get some time with some more offensively gifted players.

Maybe Seattle is interested in "ZAR" and the Pens know that?

Or maybe they leave Zucker exposed and use the space for Tatar and Stastny, moving Carter to RW

Hell, they might already have a deal in place that we don't know of.

I would like them to protect carter. 2.6M and is a difference maker on the ice.

I have to agree with RW for a change. I'm a big fan of Blueger, but I'd rather expose him and roll the dice replacing him than possibly lose McCann or Carter, although I think it's highly unlikely they'd select Carter.

Sid, Geno, Rust, Jake, Kap, McCann, Blueger is what I imagine this looks like now, but who the heck knows.

I know Hex has said he has no plans to make any arrangements with Seattle, but I'd love for him to find a way to ensure they take Zucker, Pettersson or Matheson.

Great contract. I think Blueger could be a Bonino type 3C where you put a pure offensive playmaker on the line with him and another good all around player and you could have a really good contributing 3rd line.

I don't think the contract means anything in terms of expansion. He could be selected with or without a contract. No chance they leave Carter or McCann exposed.

Possible they have a deal in place with Seattle. Could be something like "take Pettersson and we will also give you ZAR" or something like that. Who knows.

Yandle being bought out. I'd say he's skyrocketed to the tops of the UFA list now under Dougie and Barrie.

Suter there too....if only the Pens could shave the 13.3 mill of Petts, Maths and Marino

we could have:

Dumo-Tang
Suter-Barrie
Yandle-Friedman

And probably save cap hit...

Or

Dumo-Tang
Suter-Hamilton
Yandle-Friedman

and not save cap hit

Idk he’s basically a PP specialist though he did have good 5v5 metrics this season.

For some teams being a PP specialist is very much needed. I could see the Rangers going in on him to fill the gap while some of their younger LDs make their way up.

Yah, but he was 7th in average ice time among Florida D. He really needed to be sheltered this season.

I see him more as a contender guy or a Detroit team where he’s basically guaranteed the number 1 PP unit.

This isn't accurate. Yandle was 7th amongst all skaters 5v5, 4th among D.

I wouldn't underestimate the Rangers depending on what other moves they make this off-season. It's pretty clear with all the changes they want them contending now, so I think they're going to be pretty aggressive in picking up players.

They're going to be a very hard team to play against this season with Gallant behind the bench. I expect them to be majorly in the playoff mix.

Depending on what moves they make I expect them to battle for top three in the division. Especially of Laf takes another step.

I don’t see him wanting to go back there or Gallant wanting him.

If they can move Buch for a legit 2c they could be real good

I can't attest to what Gallant would or wouldn't want, but it's an entirely different organization and team than when he was there before, so I'm not sure how much that would affect his wanting to go back.

I think Strome deserves his credit. I get the argument that he plays with Panarin, but that doesn't mean any center in the NHL can come in and keep up with Panarin. I think 3C is a bigger need. Chytil is mediocre.

Dude, he was their 6th D all season.
